Hi, I am Bryan Reiss, owner of Neighbor First Home Services.
I Started Neighbor First because I genuinely enjoy solving problems, working with my hands, and helping homeowners care for one of their biggest investments. Every project is an opportunity to earn trust through dependable service, honest communication, and quality workmanship.

I have called Bergen County home since I was 5 years old, and I’m proud to continue serving the community where I grew up. I’ve always believed neighbors should be able to rely on one another, and that belief became the foundation for Neighbor First Home Services.
Learning the Craft
My passion for working with my hands began in high school theatre productions before studying Technical Theatre and Stage Production, where I received hands-on training in carpentry, scenic construction, painting, electrical systems, and project planning. Early in my career, I worked on large theatrical productions that demanded precision, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to safety.
A Career Built on Trust
Servicing others has always been an important part of my life. I volunteered with the Mahwah Ambulance Squad, eventually serving as Captain, and later spent more than two decades in customer-focused leadership roles within the financial technology industry. Although the industries were different, they all reinforced the same values: professionalism, communication, accountability, and earning people’s trust.
